The seller purchased it in late 1966 and it has been part of the family ever since.
It has also undergone some changes in more than half a century.
Around 1968, the original 283 V-8 was swapped for a 327 engine (300 HP), its been powering the car for the past 53 years.
In the Eighties, the car has received a color change from the original light blue to the current black.
The previous owner says that, during its longtime stay, it has been continually maintained and refreshed to always look and perform excellently.
This Impalas black vinyl interior appears to have been well maintained over the years and the seller notes restoration work has included replacement of the seat covers and the headliner.
The carpet is also reported to be in very good condition, and there are no apparent splits or cracks in the door panels or dash pad.
