Conducts in process and final visual inspections of manufactured steel components in accordance with AWS D1.1 and dimensional inspections.
Visually inspects all manufactured parts (or a representative number) to ensure they are manufactured per the correct drawings/specifications.
Performs Magparticle inspections per the Quality Control manual.
Inspects tower sections that have been painted or galvanized.
Inspects out-going loads to ensure all parts, sections and barrels of hardware are present, and photographs the loads for documentation.
Moves and loads materials for quality inspections.
Performs work in indoor or outdoor environments as needed.
Contributes to a safe working environment by being responsible for quality, safety, organization, and cleanliness in your area of operation.
Contributes to team effort by communicating and working well with others, as well as accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Other duties may be assigned.
Successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years recent quality experience relating to welding and/or metals fabrication.
Solid ability to read and interpret blue prints and drawings, proficient with reading a tape measure, attention to detail, accuracy and time management.
Must possess strong interpersonal and communications skills and be able contribute to a team environment.
Must be able to lift up to 75 pounds, frequently exerting up to 30 pounds of force, perform work in indoor and outdoor environments and contribute to safety and quality control standards.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
